Alex is McCarter’s Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for leading the firm’s client innovation, value, pricing, legal project management, and practice group management functions. Alex is an accomplished law firm executive and a lawyer with nearly two decades of experience in the legal industry.
Prior to his current position with McCarter, Alex was the co-architect of a team focused on the optimization of firm practices to align with client value expectations at Venable, an 850+ lawyer firm based in Washington, DC. Alex was also previously in a management role with Seyfarth Shaw. Alex also has years of experience as a successful legal industry consultant, where he consulted in the law firm management space across the North American continent.
He is a frequent provider of lectures and continuing legal education seminars, speaking to industry groups as well as state and local bar associations on the topics of law firm management, legal accounting and pricing, legal technology and innovation, as well as legal ethics.
Alex enjoys spending every minute he can with his family, especially his two children. Alex has a passion for travel and has been to all 50 states, every province in Canada, and countless international destinations. He also enjoys playing competitive two-on-two grass or sand volleyball.
