Amanda Rauer defends clients in complex environmental litigation matters, regulatory enforcement actions, and toxic torts matters. She represents clients in environmental litigation involving contribution and cost recovery claims, corporate successor liability, diminution in property value, underground storage tanks, natural resource damages, and soil and groundwater contamination. She advises clients on permitting and environmental regulatory matters and has litigated claims involving Comprehensive Environmental Resource Recovery and Liability Act, the New Jersey Spill Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and other federal and state environmental matters.
Amanda represents clients in all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts as well as administrative tribunals and has tried both criminal and civil matters in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New Mexico. Her litigation experience extends to asbestos-related-injury and defense and representing lenders, mortgage servicers, and financial institutions in all phases of litigation, including bankruptcy and appeals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her regulatory experience includes advising clients on matters pertaining to enforcement of creditors’ rights, consumer lending, consumer protection, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act, Truth in Lending Act, and title claims.
Amanda served as a Senior Trial Attorney with the New Mexico District Attorney’s Association where she was the lead narcotics prosecutor. She handled a variety of other criminal matters from misdemeanor to felony prosecutions, including lead counsel in a first-degree murder jury trial, resulting in a conviction. She has also been active in pro bono matters, including for Philadelphia VIP and the Senior Law Center.
