Dennis Darcy is a registered patent agent who focuses his patent prosecution practice on a broad range of computer science and electrical technologies including DC/DC DC/AC AC/AC systems, power electronics, sensor interfaces, analog/digital and digital/analog conversions, parallel power architectures, power and control schemes, MRI power Systems, high efficiency converters, MIL STD power systems, commercial automotive power systems, and sensor-less design. Dennis conducts inventor interviews, drafts provisional and non-provisional patent applications, responds to office actions, conducts examiner interviews, and manages large patent portfolios.
Previously, Dennis developed cyber programs for electric utilities and power plants and embedded control systems and components for a well-known laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also worked in the power and controls group at that same laboratory where he managed a team of 25 engineers and developed electronics for undersea vehicles and space systems, as well as guidance navigation and control systems. Additionally, Dennis was Chief Technology Officer for a large format energy storage development corporation where he developed and established the company’s grid scale energy storage and managed an extensive IP portfolio.
He was also Director of Engineering at an energy and power company where he developed a wide range of power and control electronics, power drives, and magnetic bearings for automotive, industrial, commercial, and military customers. Dennis also worked in the global headquarters of a commercial medical imaging company in its MRI power systems group where he helped develop and launch both RF and gradient amplifier systems. He is an inventor of 52 patents and holds many patents in the areas of advanced measurement, signal processing, inertial navigation, and sensor fusion.
