Dr. James Alburger is a registered patent agent with experience in patent preparation and freedom-to-operate analysis, and expertise in the fields of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and biochemistry. With an extensive background in science communication, James is skilled in clearly and effectively translating technical information to any audience.
James has a PhD in the Biochemical Sciences from The Scripps Research Institute, where his focus was in computational and medicinal chemistry. His graduate research involved using computational methods to help guide the synthesis of novel targeted chemotherapies.
Prior to obtaining his PhD, James obtained a BS in chemistry magna cum laude from Grove City College where he completed a variety of undergraduate research projects in the fields of computational, inorganic, and pharmaceutical chemistry.
