McCarter & English continues to prove itself as an elite provider of lobbying services, breaking its own revenue record yet again. The firm ranked second among lawyer-lobbying firms, narrowing the gap between it and the top-ranked law firm, in the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC)’s annual report. The firm also ranked seventh among all lobbying firms in the state.
McCarter continues its steady increases, with its New Jersey lobbying revenue totaling more than $3.3 million for 2024 — up from approximately $2.6 million for 2023, a year-over-year increase of more than 20%.

The firm represented 51 companies and organizations in New Jersey lobbying efforts in 2024, working both sides of the aisle to achieve results and providing counsel regarding legislative and regulatory issues that impact clients’ businesses. Clients span a wide range of industry sectors, including alcohol, cannabis, construction, cybersecurity, energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, real estate, technology, telecom, transportation, and waste management.
In 2024, McCarter’s lobbying team welcomed Stephanie Olivo, the Former Director of Compliance for ELEC, where she was responsible for compliance with a number of laws administered by the agency, including the filing and reporting of contributions by corporations and individuals to candidates and officeholders, as well as required disclosures by companies holding government contracts, and regular reporting by legislative agents.
