Franklin Turner & Alex Major lead DFARS 7012 Cybersecurity Webinar Series #2, which covers Prime Contractor Responsibilities for Safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The webinar was hosted by the non-profit Cyber Collaboration Center.
According to the recent Industry Day on DFARS 7012, defense contractors have until December 31, 2017 to become compliant with more than 110 specific cybersecurity controls in order to remain eligible to bid on or perform work on defense contracts. Prime contractors are responsible for all subcontractors in their supply chain, in safeguarding any Covered Defense Information (CDI) provided or generated under the contract.
