Desiree Grace spent nine years at the US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, serving in various roles, including as the First Assistant United States Attorney, the Criminal Division Chief, and Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division, during which she oversaw all matters involving economic crimes, cybercrimes, healthcare fraud, and national security. While at the US Attorney’s Office, she was twice recognized by the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation as Prosecutor of the Year.
Desi represents clients in a wide variety of investigations and litigation matters, including civil and criminal cases and internal and government investigations. As a former federal prosecutor, Desi can assist clients faced with federal and state criminal charges, grand jury investigations, and trials, as well as respond to search warrants, subpoenas, and requests for information. She also counsels clients to develop and implement corporate compliance and ethics programs, and when necessary, helps to disclose misconduct to minimize exposure.
During her time as a prosecutor, Desi handled numerous complex criminal trials and supervised thousands of cases, in all areas of criminal law, honing her ability to assess cases, spot weaknesses, and build strong arguments. As First Assistant US Attorney, Desi also oversaw the work of the Civil Division, the Appeals Division, and the Special Prosecutions Division.
Earlier in her career, Desi served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, before spending two years as a litigation associate at McCarter. She went on to serve as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Morton I. Greenberg at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
