John Stoelker focuses his practice on creditor rights, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. He represents lenders, financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors, and bankruptcy trustees in both state and federal court proceedings.
John litigates commercial foreclosure actions and actions to enforce promissory notes and guaranties. He represents secured creditors in various bankruptcy court proceedings, including actions objecting to discharge, actions objecting to the dischargeability of a particular debt, motions to lift the automatic stay, and avoidance actions.
John represents trustees in bankruptcy proceedings, including litigation to avoid and recover fraudulent conveyances and preferential transfers, claim objection matters, actions challenging the extent and validity of a claim, motions to recover property, “363” sales matters, private and public auctions, and estate administration matters.
John serves on the District VA Fee Arbitration Committee.
