Avoiding Workplace Safety Missteps and Other Employment Pitfalls in the Evolving COVID Landscape

Association of Corporate Counsel – CT Chapter

7.28.2020

The workplace safety challenges employers are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic continue to evolve, requiring employers to make difficult decisions concerning how to continue safe operations, when to proceed with the next phase of reopening efforts, or whether to scale back current reopening efforts. This program will examine how workplace safety and public health laws and guidance have evolved since stay at home orders were initiated, help guide employers through the current applicable workplace safety laws and guidance, and how to factor the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape into their workplace safety policies and procedures. This program will highlight other key employment law issues that employers should consider when drafting or revising COVID-19 related workplace safety policies, and provide an overview of emerging COVID-19 employment litigation.
