Mr. Hall is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. His practice focuses on land use and land development law. He represents both public and private sector clients in connection with land use and development approval proceedings involving municipal zoning regulations; other governmental land use regulations; and environmental regulations impacting the use and development of real property.

His practice includes litigation in the trial courts and appellate courts involving appeals of governmental decisions on land development applications; challenges to land use regulations; Mt. Laurel affordable housing lawsuits; and related controversies. Mr. Hall also works closely with other members of the Real Estate Group in advising clients on land use issues associated with complex real estate transactions.

Mr. Hall is a co-author for Practical Skills Series - Municipal Land Use, published in 2000 by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education for its Skills and Methods Course. He was a contributing author for the prior edition published in 1995, and he has authored articles on land law use issues.

Mr. Hall is recognized in New Jersey Super Lawyers for 2006, 2008-2012 editions. Representative Matters

Representation of clients in obtaining governmental approvals for development projects.
Examples include municipal site plan approval proceedings for: (i) an 8-level parking garage for a corporate office building in a urban municipality; (ii) major expansion of an office building in a suburban municipality; and (3) modification of site improvements for an industrial/distribution facility for a major corporation
Counseling concerning land use issues in connection with real estate transactions.
Recent examples include: (i) zoning due diligence work as local counsel for a major institutional lender in connection with funding for acquisition of a hotel, land and related improvements in a redevelopment area, including issues as to prior approvals and additional development potential; and (ii) zoning due diligence for a lender in connection with funding for acquisition of a residential development undergoing development approvals proceedings, including monitoring approval proceedings and consulting with approval counsel.
Land use litigation for public and private sector clients.
Examples include: (i) representation of a major hospital in contested redevelopment proceedings related to facility expansion plans; (ii) development approval litigation; and (3) representing municipalities in affordable housing litigation.
