Lisa Bonsall’s commercial litigation practice involves representation of large and mid-market corporate clients, including retailers, manufacturing, distribution, telecommunications, insurance, leasing and financial institutions located across the United States. She has represented clients in courts in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Texas and Louisiana in litigation relating to a variety of commercial transactions, including patent validity and license disputes, fraud and fraudulent transfer actions, shareholder disputes, construction issues, as well as the more traditional contract and Uniform Commercial Code litigation. Her larger clients have included General Electric Capital Corporation, Aramark, ADP, Drug Fair, Ingersoll Rand, Sprint, PNC Bank, Valley National Bank, University Bank, California First Leasing Corporation, Hartz Mountain Industries, and affiliated entities.
In her bankruptcy practice, Lisa represents secured and unsecured creditors, bank group agents, servicers, contract parties, lessors, vendors, and other interested parties in all aspects of debtor-creditor relations and bankruptcy, including out-of-court workouts and loan restructuring, asset recovery and bankruptcy-related litigation. Her insolvency-related clients have also included creditor committees, receivers and trustees appointed in brokerage firm liquidations under the Securities Investor Protection Act. Lisa represented the SIPA Trustee in prosecuting claims in First Interregional Equity Corporation, and the SIPA Trustee various matters in BBS, two multi-million SIPA liquidations. She brokered the settlement that became the plan in the New Era bankruptcy. Lisa has litigated in bankruptcy court matters ranging from standard avoidance action and fraud complaints to professional malpractice, environmental, employment and corporate shareholder disputes, and regularly represents clients in bankruptcies filed in New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
