Daniel J. Brown handles pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, intellectual property disputes, and complex corporate and commercial litigation. He has diverse experience in civil litigation involving product liability claims, patent litigation (including Hatch-Waxman infringement matters), patent-related antitrust claims, complex contract and commercial matters, and shareholder class actions and derivative matters. His practice includes the representation of individuals, businesses and corporations at every level of state and federal courts in Delaware and around the country.

Mr. Brown’s life sciences experience includes serving on the trial teams for major multinational pharmaceutical companies in jury trials in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas and the Delaware Superior Court. Mr. Brown also has served as a member of national litigation teams representing pharmaceutical and medical device companies in federal MDL and parallel state court proceedings, where Mr. Brown was involved in all facets of the litigations, from developing and coordinating trial strategy to administering global settlements and everything in between.

With respect to patent litigation, Mr. Brown recently served on the trial team for a branded pharmaceutical company in a Hatch-Waxman matter before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, which settled favorably on the eve of trial.

In his contract, commercial and corporate litigation practice, Mr. Brown routinely appears in the Delaware Court of Chancery representing clients in corporate disputes or contractual litigation involving equitable claims. He also litigates contractual disputes in the Delaware Superior Court.

Devoted to community service, Mr. Brown often represents pro bono clients at trial before the Delaware Family Court and in §1983 prisoner's rights cases before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
