Ms. Hubbard represents employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts, from single plaintiff claims to class actions, including state and federal wage and hour class actions. She has experience with every stage of litigation including bench and jury trials. She also represents employers in employment-related administrative proceedings.

She regularly counsels clients dealing with personnel issues such as drafting and updating employee handbooks, complying with federal and state wage and hour laws, accommodating employees with disabilities, complying with federal and state laws that cover family and medical leave, and hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees. She conducts investigations for employers related to allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct and has assisted companies in responding to audits by state and federal agencies related to wage and hour laws.

Ms. Hubbard’s Occupational Safety And Health Act (OSH Act) experience includes assisting employers with responding to federal and state Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) information requests, responding to inspections and OSHA citations, defending employers against OSHA complaints at the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, negotiating settlements with the OSHA, as well as helping employers to understand their obligations under the law.

Ms. Hubbard has dedicated many hours to providing pro bono legal services in the area of labor and employment, and she has served as a member of Foodshare’s board of directors since 2010.

Prior to practicing law, she worked at a large community hospital in the area of research compliance for a decade. Her experience at the hospital includes serving six years as a manager and preparing for and participating in federal agency audits as well as program accreditations.
