Natalie Mantell is a trial and appellate lawyer concentrating her practice in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. She defends multinational clients in complex multi-district litigation, state court coordinated proceedings, and individual products liability actions involving a variety of products and medical specialties, including dermatology, psychiatry, orthopaedics and sports medicine, cardiology, oncology, and infectious diseases. She has also successfully handled numerous cases involving chemical products, power tools, automobiles and asbestos. In each matter, Natalie listens to her clients' goals and offers options to accomplish them, whether litigating aggressively on various grounds or seeking early resolution. From case inception through appeal, clients trust her to serve in various roles, from the lead partner on individual matters to a member of the core litigation, discovery and depositions, briefing, and appellate teams as well as New Jersey counsel of record on a large mass tort.

For more than a decade, Natalie has also devoted a significant portion of her practice to appellate matters in state and federal courts, and has argued cases in the Appellate Division and Supreme Court of New Jersey. Like her products liability practice, Natalie's appellate work spans a variety of areas, including products liability, employment, real estate, and constitutional law. Natalie advises her clients about the strongest appellate arguments, the at-times case-dispositive standards of review, and the written and unwritten appellate practices and procedures. Known for her strong writing skills and collaborative approach, clients often ask Natalie to work with trial counsel during the dispositive motion phase and at trial to preserve issues for appeal, and on the overall litigation strategy to achieve success at both the trial and appellate levels. She also often represents clients appearing as amicus curiae.

In addition to litigation, Natalie regularly counsels clients in various industries regarding product liability litigation avoidance and risk mitigation, advising on product warnings, as well as product claims in marketing materials, regulatory submissions, recall communications, and other product-related materials. Her knowledge of the legal issues, and her ability to explain complicated litigation risks to non-lawyers, makes her a valuable addition to her clients' cross-departmental teams.

Natalie was recently elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which is limited to one percent of lawyers in each state who have demonstrated outstanding achievements, leadership, and professional distinction. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board and immediate past President of the New Jersey Defense Association, and as the New Jersey State Representative for the Defense Research Institute. She has also been named to Benchmark Litigation's "Under 40 Hot List," (2017-2018) and has been listed in Super Lawyers Rising Stars in both the Personal Injury Defense: Products (2010-2015, 2018-2019) and Appellate (2016-2017) categories.
