Brent’s experience spans insurance coverage, risk management, environmental law, cost recovery public interest litigation, PFAS liability and litigation, toxic torts, and other complex litigation. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and works closely with clients to achieve their objectives outside of the courtroom, advising on risk management, cost recovery, indemnity, and risk transfer strategies.
In addition to representing parties in the state and federal courts in Indiana, Brent has represented clients in litigated matters on a pro hac vice basis in many jurisdictions, including Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, and Ohio.
Brent is a frequent speaker on insurance coverage, civil procedure, and federal civil litigation. He has authored several articles and publications on civil procedure, insurance coverage, and environmental law. In addition, he has taught graduate-level sessions at Purdue University on the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act (HMTA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CRLCA).
Brent’s interests include spending time with his wife and two children, sports cars, basketball, working out, and theology and church history.
